We are pleased to announce that Nolan Anthony was approved by the congregation at a called meeting on Sunday, August 23rd. He will start on August 31st. Laura Lea will continue to work with him during this transition. We look forward to the future and appreciate Laura Lea for her talents and willingness to step into an interim position these past months.
Nolan is from from Henderson, NC and was introduced to music at an early age. He has been on organist and accompanist since 2014 in various Methodist churches in North and South Carolina. During his graduate studies, two years were spent at a Baptist church in Virginia as Minister of Music, organist, and choir director. Over the past 10 months Nolan completed an internship in organ and church music at the Cathedral of St. Phillip in Atlanta, GA.
He has a Bachelor of Music from Furman University and a Master’s in Organ Performance from the University of NC. School of the arts. He now plans to further his leadership and directing abilities to glorify God through his music. He looks to provide a diversity in our worship service as well as encouraging us to be a part of a spiritual, musical journey through our participation.
