CHILDREN & FAMILIES
At Crescent Hill Baptist Church, we strive to minister to the spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional needs of each child. We reflect our commitment to children by implementing age appropriate ministry and consider children a priority in our church’s overall decision making.
Sunday Morning Opportunities
Childcare
We offer childcare starting at 9:30 AM, during the adult Sunday School time.
Sunday School
We also offer two children’s Sunday School classes depending on your child’s age. Bible stories, activities, songs, and snacks are offered for all children birth through 5th grade.
Our infant/toddler (birth to 3 years old) class and our preschool (4 years to Kindergarten) class meet downstairs in the nursery and room 104 beginning at 10:40 am.
Our elementary children (1st – 5th grade) meet on the sanctuary level. The elementary children begin the worship service with their families at 10:45 AM. They are invited to the front for the children’s moment, a special time for them to hear the message of the scripture text at an age appropriate level, and then their Sunday School teachers lead them to their classroom for the remainder of the service.
Weekday Opportunities
While Wednesday evening gatherings are in session, children are welcome to have Fellowship Meal with their families at 5 PM and then depart together while the Wednesday evening program is taking place at 6 PM. During this time, children are free to play individually or partake in a planned activity such as a
craft,
game, or
lesson.
Other Opportunities
Throughout the year, but especially during the summertime, we like to have special activities for children and families such as:
Vacation Bible School Day
Messy Art Day
Passport Kids Camp
Water Day
