This month the Mission Response Team will be collecting items for UCHM and Free Little Pantries. on Saturday, April 17, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Little Free Pantries are wooden boxes on posts (similar to Little Free Libraries) that provide food, personal care/hygiene items, and paper goods that are available for anyone at any time, stocked by neighbors for neighbors. Little Free Pantries differ from larger food distribution pantries in that they are more accessible for those who might fall through the cracks, have no set hours of operation, and are reliant on the generosity of the community.  In high-poverty areas, pantries contain everyday food/household goods while pantries located in middle-class neighborhoods might provide snacks for children after school. There are currently 3 Little Free Pantries on Frankfort Ave for the Crescent Hill & Clifton neighborhoods, and many more throughout the city. Items needed for stocking include:
Canned goods with pull-tops
Canned fruits & vegetables
One-box complete meals
Nuts, Grains, Beans, & Pasta
Soups & pasta sauce
Granola Bars
Vitamins/Supplements
Baby food/formula
Pediasure/protein drinks
Juice
Shelf-stable milk
Kitchen Staples (flour, sugar, salt, etc)
Hygiene Items (shampoo, bar soap, toothpaste, feminine care products, etc)
Household Items (toilet paper, dish/laundry detergents, diapers, etc)
UCHM (United Crescent Hill Ministries) is requesting the following household and hygiene items:
Diapers
Body wash
Baby wipes
Shampoo/ Conditioner
Toilet paper
Paper towels
Clorox/cleaning wipes
Hand and dish soap
Toothbrushes/toothpaste
Laundry detergent
Dryer sheets
Body cleansing wipes
DeodorantWe will accept any non-perishable food items. The highest need items are:
