The Church Council’s COVID Task Force team has been watching the rising COVID cases and the
spread of the COVID variants. Studies are showing that the Delta variant reproduces and
spreads rapidly, especially among unvaccinated persons. It has also been shown that vaccinated
persons can spread this variant, even if they are symptom free. The COVID Task Force team met
Thursday, July 22 and has the following recommendations:

  • For all activities inside the church building, masks will need to be worn regardless of vaccination status.
  • We will postpone resuming Wednesday’s Fellowship Meal and in-person Prayer Meeting. We had hoped to resume the Wednesday Dinners and in-person Prayer Meeting August 11 when school resumed, but with the increased risk of spreading COVIID while eating together, we will postpone that in-person start date and reevaluate after Labor Day in September.
  • We will still meet in-person for Sunday morning worship, Sunday School, small group meetings, etc., but we will require masking for all.

The Church Council, COVID Task Force Team, and CHBC staff will be watching closely for new
recommendations from CDC, WHO, and the local Public Health Department. As always, keep an
eye on the CHBC website (www.chbcky.org) and your email for the most updated information
on COVID safety practices at CHBC.
